 Easterly views from the shuttered windows of the apartments lead over the rooftops of the ancient citta (town) of Cortona, and to the west views show a vast panorama from Arezzo in the north to Lake Trasimeno, in the south. So in these apartments you have the best of both worlds, the closed intimate world of the medieval town and the fresh invigorating expanse of landscape that is the Val di Chiana. The fully heated house is a short steep walk from the Piazza Repubblica, Via Nazionale and all the central aspects of Cortona that you would wish to be near but also very near one of the city gates which has Etruscan stone remains preserved. In this quiet yet central location you will receive superb hospitality from the family hosts and the local population. It's great for the family, and children are very welcome. We have stayed here in summer and at Christmas and its a very good way to live as the Tuscans do, whilst having a complete change of environment and relaxing break. See the apartments

 This house is amongst the residences of the Cortonesi, it has plenty of parking nearby (cars are not very welcome in Cortona, but they like tourists on foot!) and a beautiful park below. From the windows you can either see across the rooftops of the varied architecture of Cortona or in contrast across the wide expanse that is the Val di Chiana. There are busy markets, morning coffee meeting places, great shopping, evening passeggiata and excellent places to eat out. The apartment that has a terrace enables you to have candle-lit dinners in the summer.
